About SODNEC
Founded in 2010 with the goal of presenting cultural events with an emphasis on the alternative scene, SODNEC brings together professionals from the event industry.
The non-profit, active within the Montreal artistic community, was first responsible for developing an alternative Quebec Day event, L'Autre Saint-Jean, from 2009 to 2014. In 2015, SODNEC changed its focus and launched Taverne Tour, a unique festival held in early February on the Plateau Mont-Royal in Montreal, which the organization produces and programs. Each year, the festival's music circuit, which includes north of twenty venues, hosts more than 100 music projects, the majority of which are emerging artists, over 8,000 festival-goers, and some 250 members of the music industry and the media. The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary from February 12 to 14, 2026.
